S it is decided !!!!
End of March 2015 – We leave the Marquesas in direction of Makemo then Tahanea ( the Tuamotu atolls) or we have planned to join Annie and Jacky and Lucie and Bertrand.
TAHANEA
Beautiful uninhabited lagoon, Kingfish, the napoleons or blacktip sharks are curious and do not hesitate to approach us when we dive.
Our days are orchestrated between fishing, go pick up the Kaveu in the night (the coconut crab), picking up on the shellfish flats style Burgos, the snorkling, and many lunches and dinners between boats... good memories!!!!
Since the Marquesas, We have made an assessment of our journey with Hibiscus..
5 years on the sea, 50 000 KMS travelled, 25 countries visited.
At each of our steps of extraordinary people willing to share despite 'poverty' in some places, (a beautiful lesson in life) hundreds of cross boats, many have become friends, a few "galleys" with Hibiscus that ended well.... Finally the happiness on the water...
But we believe in the future and continue to travel the world on a more spacious ship seductively us... So the idea is to sell Hibiscus.... and buy a... Yacht… with big engines of 400cv... for fun to pass between the sailing at high speed No thanks!! a sailing boat of 65 feet... not really!!!
So this will be a Catamaran!!! Now it is to be found....
Since the Marquesas, Philippe is selling Hibiscus at different brokers Tahiti and switches from ads on specialized sites.
Mid April 2015 -Departure of Tuamotus, direction Tahiti
22 April - arrival in Papeete- Marina Taina
May - June the ship visits begin..., We have 2 proposals , but neither will succeed....
During this time, Philippe made the research and our catamaran will be a Nautitech 44. It "peels" all sites offering of Nautitech 44 owner less version of 7 years... There is little....
Finally, There's one for sale in Malta. All will be enchainer very quickly... After a thorough inspection through pictures high definition and a quick negotiation, Rendez-vous for see in Malta early July.
We empty the ship of our personal effects, organize the transport to carry our crates by boat until Marseille, and we let Hibiscus safely has Taravao to keep visits in our absence. Patrick and Melanie keep an eye on our baby and taking great care.
Goodbye Hibiscus. Will surely meet you the waves....
July 2015 -Malta
After 36 hours of travel and a few hours of shift we'll finally be able to "really" visit the catamaran and meet the owners through the broker.
Tom and Sue (owners) are proud to visit their boat (BRIZO) and we sympathize quickly. The boat is end 2008 and having that sailed very little is in excellent condition. Exactly as described and seen on photos. It is very well equipped with generator, desalinator 100 l/h, heating in each hull., all electronics to be... and completely equipped to live.
The expert gives go-ahead... We have to put our bags and leave.
What we are doing now to go discover Malta and start new adventures...
