3 days in Martinique
Stone has a very good memory of Martinique and is unanimously that we decide to do our next stop. Program tour Balata gardens, hiking, market creole... and the pleasure of being in a beautiful place.
Friday 20 January: St. Peter
We head to St. Peter, to the North West of Martinique. Not the time to explore South... too bad! Facing the village, Tao finds a place enough near the shore because the funds go down quickly.
Mount Pelée overlooks the Bay and luckily we have a clear during our stay.
Saturday is market day in St Pierre and We take this opportunity to fill the nets of fruit and vegetables.
By chance we find a car of 6 places for rent, This allows us to visit the island. First destination Balata Botanical Garden. Popular and must-see place for all coaches!!! Fortunately these leave the site in the afternoon and at our arrival groups of tourists return to their bus. More light is best in late afternoon. Hummingbirds welcome us at the entrance to the Park.
We are ready to discover the tropical vegetation...
It is a festival of flowers waiting for us in a well-kept Park
We all enjoy wandering around the Green.
Great views over the Bay of Fort de France.
There is also a circuit suspended for a different perspective of the canopy.
Monday 23 January: Snake River
Hike in the rain forest in the North West of the island, to the waterfall of the Snake River. The path is tortuous littered with roots, mud and slippery rocks. The merry band guard smile... still a last effort we almost arrived at the waterfall...
Last anchor in Ceron Cove Beach. Tonight we sail in the direction of the Holy...
Stone is too glad to have caught a fish to share in 6!!!! Skinny meal in sight...
.. .thankfully delicious buns prepared by Philippe await us at breakfast.
Last evening together, soon friends.
