En route to the Turks & Caicos
FINALLY.... We received the lithium batteries ordered in China! The weather is good and tonight we raise the anchor to continue westward.
St. Martin was a good technical stopover. And as we stayed there a while we avoided the scam in local prices by importing duty-free most of the equipment we needed. We are happy to leave St. Martin and his ships out of sight. First step the TURKS & CAICOS... then CUBA. It should be a little more quiet...
We will be in isolated locations and it will be difficult, If not impossible to have a regular Internet connection. Therefore, we have reactivated our Iridium phone to retrieve the weather files, as well as to receive and send emails and SMS. The easiest for us is to communicate by SMS (who are unlimited and included in the package).
Our satellite phone number is the
+8816 414 887 38
Two methods for us to send a free SMS:
1 -connect on the internet site "messaging.iridium.com" (not do before: www.); enter our Iridium: 881641488738; your email address to answer...
2 -by sending an email to the address: 881641488738@msg.iridium.com (no subject and we will receive only the 120 first characters)
Of course you can always send us mails to our usual addresses that are redirected to the satphone... If there is no attachment and if they are not too heavy. (<20KB)
Cheers for pictures and the suites of our trip....
