Right in the heart of Sydney
The final sale of the boat which is scheduled for the end of December gives us some time to explore Sydney and organize in the coming weeks the shipment of our boxes to France.
The anchorage areas in Sydney Harbour are far from comfortable with the comings and goings of ferries, Motor boats
or charters that take tourists to the Botanic Garden to party...
Despite the turmoil around us, we spend the night in front of the Botanic Garden in good company!
The next day, we set off for a quieter bay, the Blackwattle, located not far from the Fish Market, where access to land will be easier to get to the centre of Sydney.
The following days we walk around Sydney.
Botanic Garden
Manly Beach, which faces the ocean, is located north of Sydney.
It is a very popular surf spot that also attracts sun worshippers. Throughout the day, helicopters fly over this area to spot sharks and warn swimmers who need to get out of the water quickly.
We just watch the crowd from afar, imagining that there will be so many people crammed onto Bondi Beach...
Balmoral beach located in 8 kms on Sydney Harbour is more peaceful. It has a swimming area with a shark net where you can swim in peace.
Fish Market – 24 December
A little trip to the market on Christmas Day where the price of fish soars like bluefin tuna which is at 200AUSD per kg. Since 14 years we've been sailing and catching tuna we could have gotten rich😂😂 at that price!
The 26 In December, we see the start of the Sydney Sailing Race – Hobart
