Reunion with Catherine
Friday 29 April – Of the island of Amorgos, We go quietly back to Mykonos, to retrieve Catherine coming to pass 1 week with us.
Monday 02 May
Small quick visit to the village.. .des shops and trendy restaurants lining the streets... and the world around!
The famous windmills that overlook the sea attract tourists who photographs from all angles!!!
First swim to 20 degrees for Catherine , on the coast East of Rinia, in front of Mykonos.
Thursday 05 May - Paros
Direction island of Paros with a tailwind of 15/20 nodes that pushes us to the East of the island in the Bay of Marmara.
The appendix is a small place in the tiny port
A bit of walking to the village which is well quiet. It would like a drink but everything is closed... too bad it will be on the boat!!
Friday 06 May – Naxos
Mooring in the Bay of Kalandos, outside the part of which is fairly recent water hydrants with electricity. Amazing for this completely deserted place, without the slightest House apart from a small chapel and a tavern closed.. A few fishing boats are moored, but no sailboat. Still a wasted European grant especially since one of the docks is not enough water so the boats can moor... it is rather original!!!
Saturday 7 May - Koufonisia
We loved the Koufonisia island when we were there with Sophie in April, then we are going back with Catherine in the hope that water will be somewhat warmer and we won't need to put the combinations.
We throw the anchor on the side is facing the village. Water is an incredible turquoise, It feels like in a lagoon
The next day the wind coming from the East we get wet for lunch, at the foot of the cliffs North of the island.
Immediately asked anchor we jump with water then in the annex for visiting natural caves in the cliff.
The funds are dotted with rocky slabs with a few plots of sand, the place is not safe enough to stay there the night. We spend the night on the other side in ormos Pissina beachfront.
Monday 09 May - Kato Koufonisi
On the East Coast, We find a Bay sheltered from the swell.
A little tour in the Annex until the next Bay where we saw a Palm tree. The place looks like a small settlement of fishermen according to the packages hidden under the trees. Just landed on the beach, a few curious goats out of bushes. In reality they are waiting for us to give them fresh water in the well which is closed. The girls have mercy goats and open the well.
Goats do not pray and take advantage of the bargain.
A bit of climbing in the rocks to admire the panorama.
The descent is somewhat perilous
Time has passed quickly, Catherine starts in 2 days, of Koufonisia ferry that will take her on Mykonos. a nice last whole week!
Wednesday 11 May - Dhrima
We continue our navigation more towards the East and find a sympathetic corner between island Andikaros and Dhrima.
The anchorage is quiet, behind a tongue of sand.
Grounding a chapel,
a fishing hut
and a few isolated goats.
In a few days Alain, the brother of Philippe, arrives on the island of Samos.
