We were ready to go to the Tuamotus, but change of plans at the last minute. Kua and Teiki, our friends of Hakaui, marry in 10 j and the cultural festival of the Marquesas on Tahuata takes place 15 j after... 2 good reasons to extend our stay in the Marquesas!!!
After crisscrossing the islands of the Marquesas Islands in the North to the South since last July, We decide to go back on Tahuata in the Bay of Hapatoni. The atmosphere that reigns among the inhabitants is harmonious, their generosity and their sense of sharing makes this place particularly endearing.
During our first visit to the Marquesas in December 2014, We could not visit the island of Fatu Hiva, the Bay of virgins (Hanavave), because of the swell. We look forward to discover this place( and its inhabitants) reputed to be one of the most beautiful landscape of the Marquesas!
